You wanted to feel like you lived in the greener grass You wanted to taste life like the movies What would have been enough? How could I have known? How could I have changed? What could I have done? What could I have said? What is it you want? What is it I've done that could ever get me to this place Within your mind? Within your heart? I wanted to feel like I lived in a perfect place I wanted to taste life like on the silver screen What would have been enough? How could I have known? How could I have changed? What could I have done? What could I have said? What is it you want? What is it I've done that could ever get me to this place Within your mind? 'Cause knowing my mind I can't wait forever But you've got me tethered up And I want to give it up, but I'm not sure what "it" is Know that there's a feeling in my heart, and it's horrible Wouldn't want this for anyone I can't regret this life I can't regret it

Tell me why it is you fear the dark What is it you think that you'll find there I've got a monster in my chest and It's growing bigger by the day and I've been waiting around to see you cry Is there anything I could have done What if all your friends had liked me more Another painful reminder that you're not here I put my hand to the side and it's empty I've been waiting ages to feel your hair Tell me why it is you fear the dark What is it you think that you'll find there

I show her these old photographs She takes a look, they make her laugh I wonder if she ever feels the way I do about her Now we're here and not so young Surely life has just begun I've seen her put her guard down It's such a pretty sight If only this long and bumpy road Came equipped with flashing signs to go home If only either one of us had known Where that long and bumpy road was taking us Settle down and buckle up She said, halfway into her cup We're headed in the right direction Any minute now Suddenly, to my surprise I raise my head and she was right The exit sign was blinking at us Lighting up her face If only this long and bumpy road Came equipped with flashing signs to go home If only either one of us had known Where that long and bumpy road was taking us Off the highway, still on track Too deep now, we can't look back I hope to God she's got a plan 'cause I sure as hell do not We pull up she kills the lights The liquor starts to blur my sight I feel like it's happening With or without me Cocks her pistol, safety off Pulls down her mask and then she's gone I worry for a second then the world turns black Next thing I know I'm seeing blue The sirens singing out the news I hope to God my baby's out there Waiting in the car If only this long and bumpy road Came equipped with flashing signs to go home If only either one of us had known Where that long and bumpy road was taking us If only this long and bumpy road Came equipped with flashing signs to go home If only either one of us had known Where that long and bumpy road was taking us

about

'Lowkey Delirium' is Clayton Douglas's debut solo EP which features three of his most cherished pieces, "Life Like The Movies", "Beacon", and "Pistol Whipped". Each song sounds completely different from the next but tells a similar story; one of love, confusion, and self-reflection.

"These songs mean the world to me and it took a lot of encouragement and self-assurance to put them out for the world to hear. I hope you find something in these songs that moves you." -Clayton
